The hero image of this post is vibrant and colourful which is a perfect symbol for the entire ICP community. I am thrilled to be a part of this community and to contribute my small footprint.
Contribution to the ICP Community Conference
The month started with our contribution to the 2nd ICP community conference. We had the opportunity to present our work in a short 1 minute video clip. See the video at 03:48:20
Thanks to @seb_icp for making this possible. If you are curious about the Motoko Bootcamp’s next invention, check out seb_icp’s Open Internet Summer.
By the way, the ICPCC is already operating as a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) on the Internet Computer.
For more details, refer to the ICPCC DAO LLC Constitution.
Participation in the 3rd Anniversary Challenge
What started as a simple hunch that it was a good idea, turned into a pleasant surprise. There was a challenge announced by the Dfinity Foundation to display how you would celebrate the 3rd ICP Anniversary based on the article “10 Reasons The Internet Computer Will Win” by Dominic Williams.
We created a free certification process on that article. Checkout our previous blog post to read more.
@integral_wizard @iPhelipeVR @samlinux Congratulations to our swag winners! 🏆While there wasn’t a clear-cut first place winner this time, we felt your creativity for “10 Reasons Why ICP Will Win” really shone through. Check your DMs this week, as we will be reaching out to…

We are very grateful that our work was noticed and made accessible to a broad public. Thanks to the Dfinity Foundation for the swag price as one out of three. That is a significant achievement for us and, we are extremely proud.
This month was originally supposed to be calm and relaxed. However, things turned out completely differently.
Joining the ICP Hub Meetup in Bali
I stumbled upon the information about the ICP Hub Meetup in Canggu, in the south of Bali. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, we quickly decided to participate. We arranged for a guide to safely take us from Ubud, where we were staying, to Canggu and back. I should note that the 23 km journey was quite an adventure and deserves a story of its own 😂.
The trip was definitely worth it. We met great personalities. I would particularly like to mention Bruno Calabretta, the co-founder of the ICP Hub Indonesia.
Get more on that initiative by visiting the LinkedIn profile page of the ICP Hub Indonesia.
We also wanted to take a look at the ICP CC 2024, but unfortunately that was not possible due to the time difference. It was still an exceptional evening.
Take a look at the slideshow below to get some impressions.
Attending the ICP 3rd Anniversary in Person in Zurich
And finally, Zurich happened. After a long journey, we arrived in Zurich on May 23, 2024 to be part of the 3rd ICP Anniversary. And let me tell you, this was an extraordinary event. There were so many ICP enthusiasts, engaging panel discussions, insightful presentations, and the chance to meet in person those you only knew online.
Enjoy the slideshow below to get a glimpse of the event.
Among all the interesting topics I would like to highlight two: The discussion on the new roadmap and the launch of ckUSDC.
The new roadmap is divided into 9 sections, each with its own focus. If all this comes to fruition, the Internet Computer will become truly unstoppable, transforming into a World Computer.
- Compute Platform
- Decentralized AI
- Chain Fusion
- Privacy
- Platform Decentralization
- Identity
- Digital Assets
- Governance & Tokenomics
- Developer Experience
The other remarkable news is the introduction of the ckUSDC.
USD Coin (USDC) is a digital currency that is fully backed by U.S. dollar assets. USDC is a tokenized U.S. dollar, with the value of one USDC coin pegged as close to the value of one U.S. dollar as it can get. The value of USDC is designed to remain stable, making USDC a stablecoin.
ckUSDC is a digital twin of the USDC stable coin. Similar to ckBTC and ckETH, ckUSDC uses chain-key cryptography to create a token deployed on ICP that is backed 1:1 with USDC.

Finally, the big WHY?
We believe that the Internet Computer is the logical next step in the evolution of the web. Moving from Web1 to Web2, we are now entering the Web3 era. The adoption of Web3 is slow and should be viewed as a marathon, not a sprint - even when it comes to the Internet Computer.
We believe this for good reason: Eliminating cloud providers as intermediaries, incorporating a built-in security system, and providing an unstoppable infrastructure offer new opportunities.
After this ICP month, I am extremely motivated because I see numerous possibilities for developers and entrepreneurs to enhance the lives of people worldwide and find solutions that are only possible on the Internet Computer.
I will close with a quote from a panel discussant:
“We use Netflix not because it has the fastest streaming technology, but because it provides the movies and series we want to watch.”
This also applies to the Internet Computer: Do not focus on how it works, but why it matters.
